I love that name, FantaSea, it is a great portmanteau and what can be better than leaving the dock, touring the harbor for five hours, keeping your friends and family as a captive audience, and partying partying partying. We hear Reyna and Matthew had a crazy afterparty at nearby Glow. The coordinator was Jasmine Lee and she kept everything going! Congratulations!

Krista and Jim had a perfect wedding. It was great to get to be in Long Beach at their beautiful church in fall. Kaitlin and I felt like we were on the East Coast in a classic Methodist church! The leaves were changing, the sun was lower and shimmering. After the ceremony, we went to theLong Beach Petroleum Club for a reception that everyone said had really good food!
This is Annie and Manny’s opening to their wedding film. They were an awesome couple to work with. Manny is a pilot for American Airlinesand often flies to Hawaii- good times! His most memorable flights have been to South America where he’s had to wear oxygen masks when going over the Andes! Then there’s Annie, a beautiful, fun and great person to be around! You might notice her carrying a feather around…this is because she is Native American and they are her father’s feathers. Which is totally cool! Here’s a link to some Native American Wedding Traditions, in case anyone is interested in learning more.
Kelsey thought it was very interesting, since she is 1/16 Cherokee Indian and we have never had a Native American bride before! The song used is their favorite song- so it’s a little dramatic- it is the theme from The Last of the Mohicans- Enjoy!
It was a blessing to get to know Rory and Angela. They were a referral from another of our just gorgeous couples, Joanne and Andrew from a few years ago. After getting ready, their ceremony took place at the Pilgrim Congregational Church in Pomona – which was just huge! It is a classic church with creaky wooden floors, perfect stained glass and great acoustics. Then we moved to a modern reception venue to hold the gigantic crowd – the Diamond Bar Center! Rory and his guys playing football was classic, as well as how much Angela’s bridesmaids care for her!
Enjoy!
This was amazing! Filming a wedding the day after Christmas was like opening another great big present of love and laughter! We got work with our favorite priest once again, Monsignor Lloyd Torgerson from Saint Monica’s. Mostly, we were there to help make something great for two lovely, amazing people who deserve so much joy and happiness in the years to come!
This wedding was also exciting because of all the work that Jessica put into the centerpieces, decorations, candles and theme. Jessica and Edward even went so far as to commission a painting to be painted live at the reception by Agnes Csiszar Russo. She started with just the room and added faces as the night went on. Wow, I wish we would have known about this when we got married! So cool, check it out!
I had a wonderful time following Lynelle and Christopher all over Orange County, from the beach to the country club, what a time! The ceremony took place at St. Joachim Catholic Church, in Costa Mesa. Amazingly, St. Joachim is actually the father of Mary, and this day of the wedding was an important feast day! Good timing!
Justin time for Christmas, Lindsey’s favorite holiday, here is their highlight reel! I had such a good time going out to Camarillo to the Las Posas Country Club. It might have rained – but it didn’t – I think it could have snowed though, and everyone would have felt right at home. Speaking of snow, the confetti that was thrown at them (watch for it) as they recessed down the aisle was shocking to them – with its shimmery brilliance and pesky ability to stick to their clothes, they were sparkling the rest of the night!
Chris Schmitt Photography ran the photo end of things, wrapping up a great end to November!
Merry Christmas!
Two days, two cultures, parties and family celebrations from morning to night – sounds like another Charles Lauren Films weekend! This highlight shows the great time we had with Kristen and Arvin – and we were very amazed to learn that their family owns Shershah’s Indian Restaurant in Marina del Rey, which we go to all the time! What a coincidence!
Rudy and Amanda at The Luxe in Bel-Air. What can we say? They met on a private yacht going to Catalina, they fell in love, snuck away into the bathroom and have been on fire ever since! Rudy wrote her a very good song – which we used as the backdrop for their highlights – check this out! The photographer was the brilliant Chris Schmitt who was able to channel some of Rudy’s boundless energy and planning was done by Maryam of Delicate Details.
Abigail and Raul had a very special wedding at the Church on the Way in Van Nuys and the Glendale Hilton. We loved the idea to take pictures on top of the roof by Chris Schmitt Photography. The reception room was huge and amazing and the mariahis kept playing great music.
Congratulations!
